Bob Finishes Seventh in Charity Gallop!
Bob, the mascot for Cartridge World, galloped home to a fine seventh place in this year’s Mascot Gold Cup. Contested at Wetherby race course over a furlong and five fences, the race is an annual fundraiser for national charity, Sue Ryder.
Bob’s was a sterling performance, beating off the challenge of all but six of a 55-strong field. Other competitors include financial services provider Engage’s ‘Sid the Super Saving Pig’ and Yorkshire Cancer Research’s ‘Giant Clanger’.
“Over the past five years the Mascot Gold Cup has raised over £75,000 for Sue Ryder,” says Lucie Ward, Cartridge World’s Marketing Communications Manager.
“Bob’s seventh place proves that all his training has clearly paid off. Cartridge World is delighted to support this charity. Nationwide, Sue Ryder’s essential care for people with a wide range of debilitating conditions is becoming increasingly important in these tough economic times.”
Sue Ryder provides expert and compassionate support for people living through life changing illness. Nationally it provides 4 million hours of care across the UK. Services include palliative, home and long-term care for people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, strokes and brain injury.
