How to Become a Cartridge World Franchise Owner
The steps to owning your own Cartridge World business:
1. Request for consideration - Send us your your initial application outlining your background and skills. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing their own business.
2. Initial meeting - Once we’ve received the Request for consideration, we will call you to arrange a meeting close to you with one of our skilled Franchise Managers.
3. Background research - We’ll look at the potential in your preferred areas by utilising our extensive territory analysis data.
4. Second meeting - This will be a practical meeting where you’ll be shown existing franchises nearby and you can use these visits to speak one-to-one with franchise owners and hear first-hand experiences of their business success.
5. Business and budget planning - We encourage you to come up with your own business plan so you have full control of the way your business works. If you do need any guidance, our Franchise Managers will always be on hand to help you with your planning. We will also assist you with your cash flow forecast so you can feel confident presenting it to your funding source.
6. Discovery Day - You’ll be invited to discover our fantastic support facilities and meet the management team.
7. Decision to proceed - Once accepted and the deposit is paid, the process of opening your business franchise begins. We will assist you in finding an approved property for your business should you require help.
8. Franchise Agreement - Time for you to sign on the dotted line and begin the training process.
9. Training and shop opening - Our training programme consists of a three-week course at our main training facility in Harrogate, one week working alongside one of our top franchisees, followed by two weeks with our skilled store opening team. The opening team will be on hand to help you set up and open your franchise.
Financial Requirements
Our award-winning franchise programme start-up costs are fairly low considering our success as a global brand.
It’s important to bear in mind that the amount of money you invest in your store will depend on a number of factors, such as location, size, rent and equipment. We have close links with the franchising departments in all major banks who will help you with the best way to finance your investment. In most cases, the major banks we have a partnership with will be prepared to fund up to 70% of the total funding requirement, dependent on your individual circumstances.
An initial fee of £29,950 +VAT will be required to start your business.
In addition to these costs, you will be required to purchase our production equipment, shop fitting, opening stock and vehicle wrap (branded graphics on a car or van).
You will also need to leave room in your budget for legal and professional fees, working capital etc. These costs will be discussed in your meetings and assistance will be provided regarding the production of your cash flow and forecast.
