Cartridge World Returns
Need to return an ink or toner cartridge? This page explains what to do if an item is faulty, incorrect, unopened, ordered in error, or covered by the Cartridge World warranty.
Choose the return reason that applies to you
Returns are handled differently depending on whether the product is faulty, unopened, ordered in error, or no longer needed after replacing your printer.
Something is not working
If you believe a product is faulty, contact us or submit a return through your account. We may ask for photos before issuing an RMA number.
- Include your order number.
- Send a photo of the cartridge batch number.
- Send a photo of any printer error message.
Changed your mind?
If the item is unopened, unused and in brand-new condition, you can return it within 30 days for a credit or full refund.
- Seals must not be broken.
- Goods must be returned safely packaged.
- Return postage is paid by the customer for items ordered in error.
No longer need the cartridges?
If you have replaced your printer, contact us about unopened cartridges up to 3 months from your purchase date.
- Refunds may be available within 30 days.
- Store credit may be offered after 30 days.
- Items must be unopened and suitable for return.
Returns process for faulty products
Please follow the steps below if you believe a product is faulty. This helps us review the issue quickly and issue the correct return instructions.
Go to your Cartridge World account, click your name, select Orders, and find the order you need help with.
Click the Return link next to the relevant order item, complete the form and submit it.
Our team may ask for photos of the faulty product, batch number, printer message or print issue.
If the product needs to be returned, we will issue an RMA number and return instructions.
Faulty product return labels and refunds
Once our customer service team has reviewed the issue, we will confirm the next step.
If a return is required
Once the issue has been reviewed and confirmed, we will issue an RMA number and either provide a Royal Mail return label link or request that the label is emailed to you by Royal Mail. You can print the label at home, or show the QR code at the Post Office so they can print it for you.
When refunds are processed
Once the returned product is received, we will check the product. If the fault is confirmed, a refund will be processed within 5 days from the date the returned product is received.
Product ordered in error or order cancellation
If you ordered the wrong product or simply no longer want an item, you can still arrange a return as long as the item meets the return conditions.
Unopened return conditions
- Items must be unused and in brand-new condition.
- Cartridge seals must not be broken.
- Items must be packaged properly to protect them during return shipping.
- You must arrange the return first so we can issue a valid RMA number.
- For items ordered in error, return postage is paid by the customer.
Important return address information
Once you have your RMA number, please send the cartridges to the address below.
Cartridge World warranty
Cartridge World brand products are covered by our own-brand product warranty. If a product develops a fault within the warranty period, we will offer a refund or replacement where appropriate.
2-year warranty on Cartridge World brand products
Cartridge World brand products feature a 2-year warranty. If you believe a Cartridge World brand item has developed a fault, please contact our customer service team with the relevant order and product details.
What to send us
- Your order number.
- Your printer make and model.
- Images of the fault or printer error code.
- A photo of the cartridge batch code.
- Any print samples showing the issue, if relevant.

Please do not send items back without arranging the return first. An RMA number helps us match your return to your order and avoid delays.
If an item is ordered in error or you change your mind, you must return the goods at your own expense. Faulty return instructions will be confirmed by our customer service team.
Items ordered in error can only be refunded if no seals are broken and the cartridge is unused. Faulty items should be reported to customer service for review.
If the returned product is checked and found not to be faulty, no refund will be issued. We can return the product to you if requested.
