Firstly, you’ll be saving money - purchasing a printer manufacturer’s cartridge will cost you a lot more than choosing a Cartridge World branded cartridge. In fact, you can enjoy savings of up to 30% by switching to a Cartridge World printer cartridge solution*. Our inks and toners are specifically formulated to match leading brand cartridges so the print quality is guaranteed to be just as good, if not better.
OEM stands for ‘Original Equipment Manufacturer,’ the shortened version is 'Original' which you will see in product names and descriptions. Buying an OEM means that these are cartridges manufactured by the brand that produces the printer. So an original (OEM) HP ink cartridge means that ink cartridge was made by HP for a HP inkjet printer.
No. All of our cartridges are guaranteed to match the performance of original cartridges under similar conditions. A printer manufacturer is legally required to provide a 12 month guarantee on their machines that cannot have any terms to be considered anti-competitive, your 12 month warranty is still safe.
However, if a problem with the printer should occur, and it is established that our cartridge caused the problem then we will repair the printer free of charge. Please see our Cartridge World Warranty certificate for more information.
Page yield is the number of pages you can print with your cartridge. The yield is based upon an ISO standard for measuring ink cartridge yields where pages are printed with 5% coverage until the cartridge is empty. The pages are then counted to determine the page yield.
How many pages your cartridge will print varies by printer and cartridge. Some printer cartridges are available in standard or XL sizes. The majority of cartridges stay the same size just the volume of ink or toner inside differs.
For reference - if you were to print the above paragraphs about page yield on a plain sheet of A4 this would represent 5% coverage.
You need to perform a head clean/cleaning cycle using the software that was provided with your printer - the print head in your printer or on your cartridge is probably blocked. There are a number of ways you can do this depending on the type of printer you are using - please consult your user manual for the correct method, or contact your local Cartridge World store. Our experts will be able to advise on you how to fix your problems and if they persist, we can arrange to thoroughly inspect and repair your printer.
