Cartridge World own-brand cartridges purchased after 5 August 2022 are covered by our 2-year cartridge warranty.

Unopened items

30-day returns

If products are unopened and in brand-new condition, you can return them for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

2-year warranty on Cartridge World own-brand cartridges

Our own-brand cartridges are manufactured to high quality standards. If a quality issue occurs within the warranty period, we can provide a replacement or refund where appropriate.

2 years of confidence

The 2-year cartridge warranty applies to Cartridge World own-brand cartridges purchased after 5 August 2022. Earlier purchases are covered under the original 12-month warranty policy.

What to send us if you need help

  • Your Cartridge World order number.
  • Your printer make and model.
  • The cartridge code or product name.
  • A clear photo of any printer error message.
  • A photo or scan showing the print quality issue, if relevant.
Important: Cartridge recognition issues caused by automatic HP firmware updates are treated separately. If your cartridge was purchased more than 6 months before reporting a recognition issue linked to HP firmware, this may be excluded from warranty cover.

Your printer warranty and compatible cartridges

Customers often ask whether using Cartridge World branded cartridges affects their printer warranty. Here is the reassurance we give customers.

Your standard printer warranty should not be invalidated

We guarantee that your standard printer warranty will not be invalidated simply because you use Cartridge World branded cartridges. If one of our own-brand cartridges is shown to have caused a printer problem, we will arrange repair or replacement where required.

We will support you if a genuine issue occurs

In the unlikely event that a Cartridge World own-brand product is at fault, we will support you with advice, troubleshooting and the appropriate next steps to resolve the issue.

Good to know: Firmware updates, especially on some HP printers, can change how printers interact with cartridges. We recommend reviewing your printer’s automatic update settings if you use compatible or remanufactured cartridges.

Returns, wrong items and damaged deliveries

If something has gone wrong with your order, contact us as soon as possible so we can help.

Unopened items

Unopened items in brand-new condition can be returned for a full refund within 30 days. Please create a returns request through your account or use our returns guide.

Ordered the wrong items?

If an error on our website caused you to order the wrong product, we will accept the item back for replacement or refund, even if opened. If the wrong item was ordered for another reason, contact us and we will still do our best to help.

Damaged in transit?

Any item damaged in transit should be reported to us within 72 hours of receipt. Please keep the packaging and send photos of the damage so we can investigate quickly.

Cartridge problem?

If a cartridge is not recognised, not printing correctly or showing an error, please contact us before returning it. Many issues can be resolved with simple checks.
